Watch out !!! I'm on EBay !!!

Hey everybody, check out my dad's Hand Crafted Texas Wall Hanging here on ebay!

Remember Humberto?

Do any of you remember Hurricane Humberto? You remember...the little tropical depression that decided at the last minute it wanted to be a hurricane and then slammed into Beaumont?
For those of you who DON'T remember it happened in September around the 13th? How do I know that? September 12th is my anniversary...My adorable husband has a habit of being out of the country on our anniversary (not his fault, just a horrible timing thing). Not to mention that he apparently hates hurricanes and refuses to be here when one occurs :)

No...really...he was unfortunately out of the country when Hurricane Rita hit in 2005, and I jokingly told him no more traveling during hurricane season after her. Then Humberto just made it a horribly sad joke by deciding to hit while Darren was again...out of the country. Anyway, these are the flowers I received the day before Hurricane Humberto for my anniversary...they quickly became "I'm sorry I left you at home with 200 rental properties, 13 clients, one daughter, two dogs, and nine employees...during a hurricane" flowers. :)

Pretty huh?

My prayer: Lord...If you have to let another hurricane hit us...can Darren at least be here?

The Secret...

Have you heard of this book? The Secret
I recently ran across several different moments when it came up and thought I'd do some research. My good friend Dawn pointed out the 'free movies' section on Time Warner on Demand and as we were flipping through them tonight...I saw the "The Secret"...again! Thinking 'there's no way they made it into a movie', I hesitated as I clicked to read more information (half afraid it might be some porno or something...you never know!). Sure enough, it was a documentary of all these wildly successful people that knew 'the secret'.

Very interesting.

Basically, it's the law of attraction, which I hugely believe in since the Bible says 'anything that is good, and wonderful...think on these things', and 'as a man thinketh...so is he!"
But this documentary took it a little further than I've been able to voice in my own head. To not just voicing things that I desire but meditating on them (and I don't mean just temporal things...though it's been proven that the Law of Attraction works for those as well.) but not in a spooky or worldly way.

Anyway, one of the things it said to do was daily voice your gratitude as well as what you really, really, really want. So here goes...a list you will hopefully see more in the future.

I am grateful for:
1) A husband that is a mighty man of valor. Full of ideas, wisdom, and energy. Health is his paycheck and love his reward.
2) A daughter that is brilliant in her own way. Full of wonder, and goals, hope and dreams. May her imagination never fail her.
3) A life never boring. I have adventure awaiting me every morning...and mercies new as well, to forgive the mistakes on my previous adventures gone awry.

What I really, really, really want:
1) I want to feel as successful at my one job as I do at the other ( I have two in case you're wondering)
2) I want view money as a tool to be worked with and that works for me, and not a reward that I must work for.
3) I want to handle stress like a coming rain...able to stand in it and take the good with the bad...knowing that it also brings it's own success.

Stick with me boys and girls...this could get good...

One more thing:
I need 1,000 by fridays end. I am attracting it to myself...I'll keep you posted.
That's only 10 - 100 dollar bills...or 100 - 10 dollar bills. No biggie!
